- Specials are Special at C.A.S.A! Every student has P.E. every day and rotates through a rich integrated arts program.
- Cole, which is a mansion for learning, boasts: a grade level wing for each grade, 2 state of the art technology labs, 2 full size gymnasiums, 1 dance studio, 2 science labs, 2 art rooms, 2 music rooms, a grand auditorium, a parent/community resource room, expansive outdoor learning areas, and an incredible library to name a few.

- Cole is a designated American Indian Focus School. This program provides one location where all DPS students with American Indian heritage are invited to learn together.
- Infusions are hands-on elective classes which take place every Friday afternoon.
- For five weeks, students participate in a class of their choice taught by any teaching professional in the building or from the community.
- CASA infusion classes include Environmental Art, Jazz Choir, Dances from Around the World, Square Dancing, Puppetry, Drumming, Rocket Building, Hip Hop, Nutrition, Mural Painting and more. (link to download current infusion list).
- At the end of six weeks, classes display what they have learned in a gallery or put on a performance for the entire school.
- We have found that our infusion classes build a greater sense of community, a deeper level of engagement and provide lots of fun and inspiration for our students.
